Things I say

My friends have often commented on the fact that I have some unique ways of expressing myself.

One term I often use, but felt that it may be racist, so I try and stop myself from using it....... I would never be deliberately racist, but I thought I'd better check out the origon of what I was saying.

I often say, "I was running around like a navvy!" Meaning I have been extremely busy, I use this as an alternative for 'running around like a headless chook' but somehow the former phrase is my preferred one.

I looked it up and am happy that I can keep using it.....

    There's masses of 'saying' that pop out of our mouths that could/can be deemed 'offensive'... you just have to hope that those hearing it will realise it's just a 'saying' .... or else we would all be in trouble!!! eeeek, especially me!
